Seated Acupressure Massage - with Marie Breen What is Seated Acupressure Massage?
Seated acupressure massage is based on the
Japanese acupressure technique called Anma.
Seated acupressure massage is a meridian
based therapy where many of the acupressure points on the 12 major meridians
of the body are stimulated. These acupressure points are on the back, arms,
hands, neck and head.
The therapist uses finger and palm pressure
to stimulate and balance the flow of energy throughout the clients body,
whilst also relaxing the major muscle groups.
What are the benefits?
Seated acupressure massage stimulates the
circulatory, muscular, nervous, immune and lymphatic systems and
encourages the release of endorphins and important mood regulating
neuro-transmitters, leaving the client feeling relaxed and re-energised.
The massage is extremely effective in
reducing tension (particularly in the back, neck and shoulder regions), the
massage also helps with lymphatic drainage, removing toxins and boosting the
immune system.
It is an effective treatment which can
increase levels of health and well-being.
Seated Acupressure Massage basics
Seated acupressure massage takes place on an
ergonomic massage chair which completely supports the clients body in total
comfort. The chair allows the practitioner full access to the clients
acupressure points without the need to remove clothing.
