What is Indian Head
Massage?
Indian head
massage is a treatment based on old Ayurvedic techniques working on upper
back, shoulders, neck, scalp and face. A variety of massage movements are
used to relieve accumulated tension, stimulate circulation and restore joint
movements. Indian Head Massage is also used to aid the condition and health
of the hair, especially when organic oils are used. Many years ago in India,
mothers would stroke their daughters' hair to promote growth and health. In
today's Western world we use it for many reasons, mainly to combat stress
from our busy lives.

Indian Head Massage
Basics
Treatments are given whilst seated in a chair,
as the massage includes the upper back the client will need to wrap a towel
around their body, lower body clothes and shoes can stay on. The client
will lean onto the couch with pillows for comfort whilst receiving the back
and shoulders massage. When the face and head is being massaged by various
techniques an upright sitting position will be needed.
This treatment has amazing effects and can relax instantly, some even fall
asleep.
