"HOW YOUR BIOGRAPHY BECOMES YOUR BIOLOGY" - An exploration into how we store our life story and in particular any unresolved emotions and relationships in our body This Forrest workshop will explain in more detail how our life story and in particular habitual thought and emotional patterns are stored in the body and how yoga can be used as a tool to release those emotions. The focus of the workshop is experiential. The workshop will include some theory about how we store our habitual way of being, as well as traumatic experiences in our bodies; it will also include a strong physical practice, breathing and relaxation. This workshop is suitable for everyone apart from complete beginners. You don't need to be strong or flexible to do this workshop, but you need to come with an open mind. The room is heated to aid the purification process.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Would you like to have more balance and control, and less stress in your life…? Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (or MBSR) is a way of taking charge of your life and consciously managing your own stress, pain, illness, and the challenges that everyday life and work brings. MBSR was first developed by one of America’s leading hospitals over 25 years ago for people suffering from chronic pain. Now courses are used widely, in hospitals, stress clinics, in schools, workplaces and well-being centres. Recently endorsed by the UK National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) and the Foundation for Mental Health, the course can help you deal better with many aspects of stress, from the mental pressures, anxiety and worry, through to physical symptoms like fatigue, insomnia, digestive or skin problems, or chronic pain. Really, everyone can benefit from using MBSR. The course consists of 8 weekly evening classes and a one day course on a Sunday. The work builds up week by week, and is experiential and highly practical. To get the best out of the course, participants should be prepared to spend 40-45 minutes each day working on their Mindfulness practice. The course includes:
The class starts on 20th April 2010, and will be taught by Barbara Reid, an experienced MBSR practitioner and teacher. She trained at the University of Bangor, the first Mindfulness teacher training centre in the UK, and currently teaches courses at Letchworth Centre for Healthy Living and Atlow Mill Centre for Emotional Education. The fee for the course is £165, payable in advance. For inquiries and booking forms, please contact: Barbara Reid, Mindfulness Teacher and Facilitator
T 01733 252322 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ JIVAMUKTI MASTERCLASS with Petros Haffenrichter - Senior Jivamukti Yoga Teacher from Germany - NEW DATES TO BE CONFIRMED
This workshop includes chanting, meditation, asana (physical) practice, as well as pranayama (breathing) techniques. This workshop is open to all levels apart from complete beginners. Petros is an Advanced Jivamukti Yoga Teacher, who lives, teaches and sings in Munich, Germany and gives workshops, kirtans and retreats all over the world. He wants to inspire his students to do - whatever they do - in full awareness, and to do it with their heart. So we can always return to that place where - independently from outer circumstance - we always will find peace: within our hearts. Many times we'll meet obstacles on this path: our intellect, our body, our expectations and preferences. Yoga gives us the possibility to free ourselves from these hindrances that keep us from experiencing our true nature - that, what we really are: free, wild, full of love and joy - without conditioning, without fear. He is thankful for all teachers and circumstances that give us the chance to experience this feeling of unity, of non-separateness - to eventually learn to accept the greatest of all teachers: our life itself. Om shanti. Cost: £25 (early bird) or £30 thereafter. Cancellation policy: Workshop fees must be paid upfront to reserve a space. Spaces are limited. 50% refund is given when cancelled more than 6 weeks before the event. No refund is given if cancelled with a less than 6 week notice period. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ FORREST YOGA WORKSHOP with STEVE AND TALYA, 2nd and 3rd of November 2010, 18.00-21.00 Tuesday, 2nd of
