Open to all levels apart from complete beginners. Please note that the asana practice is physically challenging. You don't need to be flexible or strong to do this workshop, but you need to come with an open mind. This is the first time Ana Forrest is visiting a studio outside London or Edinburgh! Learn the magic of heart-opening asanas. Open your core, which gives your heart support and counsel of your other primary chakras. This helps your heart and spirit be more resilient, flexible, and adept at surfing emotional waves. Learn to remove obstructive shielding from your heart so it can truly and honestly feel each new experience afresh.” This is a backbend class for all levels, but not ‘new to yoga’ beginners. Please bring along a strap, block, water and 2 mats (OR a mat and a beach towel/blanket). The room will be heated to aid the purification process. Cost: £30 before the 31st of October 2009. £35 thereafter. Cancellation policy: Workshop fees must be paid upfront to reserve a space. Spaces are limited. 50% refund is given when cancelled more than 6 weeks before the event. No refund is given if cancelled with a less than 6 week notice period.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FREE KIRTAN - 26th of July - 6.30-7.30pm Following the success of the chanting workshops to date, this will be a free chanting session run by Simon and the following other local teachers; Michelle Helstrip and Eleanor Gibson. It will run every last Sunday of each month. This will be free of charge, open to all, lasting around an hour, where you are invited to join in the reciting of mantras and chants from different traditions around the world. No previous chanting experience or musical ability is required. There will be percussion instruments from around the world available for you to try and if you do have your own, you're welcome to bring those too.
